Program areas at Sacramento Metro Chamber Foundation

Thousand Strong is operated in partnership with Sacramento Mayor Steinbergs office, and boosts Sacramentos economic prosperity by collaborating with local businesses to create a pool of skilled, experienced young talent paid through youth employment. The year-long program served 47 urban public high school students between the ages of 16-18.
Emerge Summit is a young professionals conference spearheaded by Metro EDGE and a collaborative effort of regional organizations committed to supporting young professionals and their growth in the community. This one-day conference features inspiring keynote speakers, educational breakout sessions focusing on personal and professional development and networking opportunities with community members. In 2023, over 320 young professionals from all over the Sacramento region participated in the event.
Leadership Sacramento is a year-long interactive program that provides behind-the-scenes view of the issues that impact our regions economy. Leadership Sacramento is available to a select group of participants chosen through a competitive application process, hosting monthly day long sessions and culminating in the completion of a community betterment project. In 2023, 47 leaders participated in the program.
