Program areas at Sacramento Parks Foundation
This is a payment back to the State of CA of the remaining grant money received from them earlier in the year. They require the grant money to be spent within 6 months and we ran into delays on the park project it was for. The intent is to request the money again in 2024.
Reimbursement for member district and Hall of Honor expenses during the year. SPF maintains funds for each of its member districts, as well as the Hall of Honor. They may use the money in their funds whenever they wish to reimburse their own expenses.
Most of the expenses listed were for consulting services for planning for a new inclusive park we are building. Also included in the total are insurance fees related to the park, permit fees, and other governmental fees related to starting the project. The park is expected to cost several million dollars in total and will take a few years to complete. Almost all of the money is coming from a State of CA grant.
