This focus area provides point in time services more broadly, including many different human and social services, immigration assistance, health care, and much more. Through our family support program, many partnerships allowed for a variety of services to be provided to families that were disproportionately impacted by covid-19. In our ongoing response to the global pandemic, we provided food assistance, offered financial assistance toward housing costs and eviction prevention, and conducted outreach, education, and vaccine clinics to mitigate covid-19. These various partnerships and other diverse services offered by shc resulted in just under 17,000 people being served in fy24.
Family resource programming: shc offered seven programs to 230 children and youth in fy 24. The family literacy program included a school readiness program for children 18 months to 4 years old, as well as a school enrichment program for children 4 to 12 years old. In addition, shc had programs for high school youth, including a college and career bound program, which encourages latino youth to finish high school and prepares them for post-secondary options, and famigos, a program for youth that have recently arrived in the us. Also offered is casa lapiz, an art program for middle school students, our summer camp, cielito lindo, as well as a traditional dance program, Sacred Heart folklorico.
