Adoption of animals: to provide shelter, veterinay care, food and necessities for abondoned cats and dogs until adopted into a permanent home. For 2023, there were 63 dogs and 79 cats placed into a permanent home.

We believe people need to keep their pets and themselves healthy. Proper food is an important means to that end. The reality of today is that many people find themselves in circumstances where food banks are an important source of nutrition and each year that need grows. We are providing pet food to three local area food banks located in jo daviess county.

Low cost spay/neuter program to reduce the overpopulation of cats and dogs in jo daviess county. Owner provides a small co-pay and Safe Haven pays the balance of the veterinarian costs of the spay/neuter surgery. For 2023, there were 21 dogs and 49 cats treated under the program.
