Accelerates domestic shelter capacity - Safe House Project mentors, funds, and certifies new and expanding Safe houses across america to increase the national landscape. Since 2018, shp has funded and supported the launch of multiple programs across america, providing an additional 371 opportunities for survivors of child trafficking in residential care programs.
Survivor empowerment: emergency response & economic empowerment - Safe House Project works to help create economic empowerment for survivors through employment opportunities and internships that help them learn necessary skills for the long-term. Safe House Project also provides emergency services upon a survivor exiting a trafficking situation, including emergency shelter, food, clothing, transportation, and basic necessities, as well as placement into a long-term Safe House program. To date, shp has served 290 survivors.
Advance domestic trafficking prevention & education - Safe House Project knows that in order to provide a holistic solution to child sex trafficking in america, it takes both treatment and prevention. Since 2018, Safe House Project deployed training to over 250k people on how to prevent, spot, and report suspected trafficking in their communities.
