Program areas at Safe Passage

Provided shelter for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Provided advocacy, support, mental health assessment and support groups, along with basic needs.
Community engagement, including volunteer coordination and prevention education, and coordination of outreach efforts. Provided training to community members on bystander skills for prevention. Provided recruitment, training, and ongoing supervision to volunteers and interns. Through a collaboration with a local high school, provided prevention education to teens.
Provided counseling, advocacy and support groups, along with 40-hour helpline for intake, referrals, and emotional and crisis support to survivors. Received calls and provided face-to-face counseling and advocacy by remote video and in-person to individuals. Counseling provided included specialized counseling for latinx survivors, people with disabilities, children, lgbtq communities, and people with mental health issues.
