Saint Francis Sculpture Gardens

Instruments of Hope has continued construction of the st Francis of assisi Sculpture garden with the installation of the garden site that includes the Sculpture 'canticles of the creatures' as well as a garden site that incorporates marywood's stone grotto and installed the Sculpture 'Francis embraces sister death'. This completes the installation of all of the original 16 bronze sculptures that were part of the exhibition at the basilica of st Francis in assisi, italy back in 2004. The garden has been land-locked to the east side due to a small creek runing through the middle of the prperty. In 2022 the organization obtained approval to build a bridge connecting east-to-west and is raising funds to for bridge construction, which will take place in 2023. Our annual golf outing continues to grow in attendance giving financial stability to the upkeep of the garden. The organization celebrated the summer solistice with an event in june. The annual blessing of the animals keeps bringing an ever increasing number of people and organizations creating a larger presence in the west Michigan communityand beyond.
