The club provides launching facilities for the City of Salem Fire Department and a safe location for emergency assistance to boaters, floaters, and paddlers. Additionally, SYBC helps to locate and mark dangerous hazards such as snagged trees and sandbars. Members also have access to Polk County Marine Board, the City of Salem Fire Department, and The City of Salem Police Department to launch rescue boats as needed.
