Description
Salt River Wild Horse Management Group protects, studies, and humanely manages the Salt River wild horses as part of our national heritage and any other wild horse herd that is threatened by a round-up from the federal government. They improve safety of wild horses through fencing road patrol and monitoring in the field. They also administer humane fertility control by darting mares in the wild. During times of limited natural resources they provide highly needed certified weed free hay to maintain the health of the Salt River wild horses.
