Program areas at Sam Hubbard Foundation
A partnership between Crayons to Computers and the Sam Hubbard Foundation, Hubbard's Cupboards allows underserved students to access the supplies and healthy snacks they need "just in time." If a student's backpack rips in the middle of the school year or a child needs a healthy snack to carry them from lunch to soccer practice, the Cupboard makes it easy for that student to be successful without worry. Each Cupboard is consistently stocked through the year with core school supplies, hygiene products, and healthy snacks. Hubbard's Cupboards directly benefits teachers and their students in need.
UC Health Food Is Medicine - The Sam Hubbard Foundation has teamed up with UC Health and The Freestore Foodbank to support more individuals and families in the Cincinnati community who are suffering from food insecurity through UC Health's Food is Medicine program. The Foundation's first gift was a family affair, as Sam has a personal connection to UC Health and its mission to advance healing and reduce suffering: his mother, Amy, and sister, Madison, both work as nurses at UC Medical Center.
Thanksgiving Food Drive - With a foundation dedicated to fighting food insecurity in his hometown, Sam along with his Bengals teammates, stepped up to provide over 150 full Thanksgiving meals to those in need in the Cincinnati area. Understanding that so many people are hungry, Sam was determined to expand the impact he could have over the Thanksgiving Holiday by providing meals for two local Cincinnati organizations.
