Program areas at Samaritan Center
Samaritan Center's primary service is the provision of counseling to individuals, families, children, adolescents and couples. In 2023, Samaritan provided 14,376 hours of counseling and added 957 new clients to the hundreds of clients who continued in counseling services.
In addition, Samaritan provides psychological and neuropsychological assessment and testing services. The ministerial assessment program assists both active clergy and those considering seminary to evaluate their personality and skill match with this profession. Through its teenhope program, Samaritan provides mental health screening for teens in local middle and high schools to determine a student's risk for depresssion, anxiety and/or suicidal thoughts. Other testing services assess for the presence of a mental health disorder, cognitive impairment, learning disability or attention deficit. These services are available to all age groups.
Samaritan also provides services in support of clergy, congregations and regional associations. Services include individual coaching,clergy groups, spiritual direction and congregational assessments and consultation, among others. During 2013, Samaritan added a business consulting component to their operations, focusing on organizational development services and executive searches.
