Various expenses incurred to carry out the historical purpose of the Society, including grants for historic restoration, review of items coming before the local preservation office, conducting surveys of historic buildings, conducting tours and seminars about historic buildings and places, advocating for historic preservation on local, state and federal levels, providing reviews and structural analyses of at risk buildings, providing support to other preservation organizations.
Traditionally "a night in old San Antonio" (niosa) is a four-night festival in the heart of downtown San Antonio that celebrates the city's diverse cultural legacy for more than 80,000 revelers annually. Sponsored by, and benefiting, the San Antonio Conservation Society. The 2021 presentation of niosa was cut back to 50% of pre-pandemic attendance levels as we were following health guidelines and policies.
