San Diego Alliance for Traffic Relief Reliable Transit and Jobs

The organization worked with community stakeholders to draft an initiative ordinance increasing the local sales tax to fund essential San Diego County transportation improvements. The revenue raised by the proposed ordinance will fund infrastructure repairs, including retrofits and safety upgrades to aging bridges, storm drains and rail lines, as well as expand San Diegos public transit system. San Diego Alliance for Traffic Relief spearhead a robust community outreach program to educate San Diego County residents on the various transportation projects that would be funded by the tax increase. The organization worked to gather signatures to qualify the measure for the November 5, 2024 election.
