San Diego North Economic Development Council

In 2022 SDNEDC assisted over 65 new and existing employers to facilitate expansion in San Diegos North County. In addition, the council produced 5 separate business education and networking events attended by more than 1,700 North county leaders. The organization also carried out several earned and social media marketing campaigns, resulting in more than 700,000 impressions and touch points with audiences interested in San Diego North County news. The Council also launched SOCAL" - Student opportunities for career awareness and learning. SOCAL is a collaborative program between education and industry created by Tri-City Medical Center, the San Diego North Economic Development Council and Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, Greater Escondido, San Marcos and Encinitas Chambers of Commerce. The vision is to give middle school, high school, post-secondary students and transitioning adults an opportunity to gain insights into career pathways, while allowing businesses and local organizations to participate in these students career exploration.
