Program areas at Indigenous People's Education Fund
The foundation is sensitive to the need for quality schools in order to give students a strong primary Education that prepares them for college and graduate work. During the course of our work, we will study the issues faced by tribes in relation to the state of its primary school system. We may develop a program to support the betterment of primary Education and schools or school systems that serve enrolled members of any state or federally-recognized native american tribe, and we may support schools and/or pre-college programs related to stem Education that serve enrolled members of any state or federally-recognized native american tribe.during 2023, scholarships were awarded to 10 students in the native pathways program.
The foundation provides scholarships and other educational support to enrolled members of any state or federally-recognized native american tribe, with priority given to members of navajo and lakota tribes. The foundation may prioritize those students who are pursuing a field of study related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics ('stem'), medicine or law, including teachers in those fields, for undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs at an accredited institution of higher learning. The foundation may also support schools and/or pre-college stem Education.
