Program areas at Sandler Center for the Performing Arts Foundation
Pillar i - k-12 education: this program serves students in grades pre-k through high school through a robust virtual academy of digital educational matinees that are carefully curated and align with the Virginia standards of learning. 100% of students who experience a digital matinee receive full funding with the vast majority of students coming from underserved communities. All educational matinees have accompanying teacher resource guides to provide educators additional tools to extend learning to the classroom. Live performance opportunities are also offered in the classroom, Sandler Center, or other theater setting. Programs are for education purposes and target underserved communities.
Pillar 3: performance underwriting and grantmakingthe Foundation supports the Sandler Center resident companies through the underwriting of performances that take place at the Sandler Center. Underwriting support is for education purposes and targets underserved communities.
