Program areas at Sandy Springs Mission

After-School Programs (Elementary & Middle School): In our elementary program, we served 160 elementary students and 45 middle school students, coming from two different elementary public schools and one middle school, respectively, in Fulton County, Georgia. We continued to provide intensive, targeted tutoring to language-learners (students) in our community.
Summer Camps: Elementary and middle school students were able to participate in our summer program. Over 120 students received a combination of academic enrichment programs as well as fun activities. Students were involved in reading, math, and summer bridge activities to help them review what they in the grade just completed and look at some of the new topics they will see in the next grade.
High School Program: In addition to continuing our tutoring program inside Riverwood International Charter School, as part of our intensive Targeted Tutoring, we were able to extend the same type of program to North Springs High School. A total of 70 students were part of this program. As a result, students were able to get the help they needed, and we saw students' grades improve throughout the school year.
Dual Enrollment Program: In addition to expanding to one more high school in 2022, we launched a new initiative to provide dual enrollment classes for high school students in 2022. We launched with 15 students in the fall.
