Marine laboratory- investigate the status and trends and to promote the health of the habitat and fauna within the marine nursery areas in and around the barrier islands of sanibel-captiva. Supported by public contributions and grants.
Native landscapes and garden center- research/educational facility for the study, propagation, and care of native plants, and to make them available for public use in the local area.
Research, environmental and water quality education- research, educational facility, Conservation center exhibit area and programs that promote the protection of the natural resources of sanibel and captiva island. Supported by admission fees, public contributions and grants.
Habitat management- ensure the protection of land for wildlife habitat. Work to restore, manage and maintain land to support native species of plants and animals. Supported by public contributions and grants.
