Santa Fe Community Housing Trust

In 2022, the Housing Trust continued to operate a successful homebuyer training and counseling program with three contracts from the city of Santa Fe to manage homebuyer programs, complete income certifications for city programs, and operate two pools of downpayment assistance funded by the city. 38 families were assisted in financing and buying new homes in Santa Fe and Santa Fe county. The Housing Trust continued to manage the three apartment complexes through monarch property management. In november 2022, the board of directors hired roman abetya to take over as executive director. He then hired a business operations manager and development staff to help move the Housing Trust forward with new opportunities and continued growth. The organization continued to provide Housing services for people with hiv with downpayment assistance through a multi-year federal grant, and was awarded a special round of federal hopwa-r recovery act funding for emergency rent subsidies. A total of 4 loans totaling 516,134 were made under a grant program of the u.s. dept. Of treasury making loans to underserved populations.
