Student recognition programsOur student of the month recognition luncheon at Chevy's restaurant continues to be a big success. Six students are recommended by the faculty each month for their progress in their educational and personal life. In May, these students, their parents, and their recommending teacher are then invited to a dinner where they are acknowledged with a certificate and family photo. The Foundation also annually provides a $1,000 scholarship to a student who is pursuing higher education. This student is chosen by their overall contribution to Santa Rosa High School. Family and friends of Santa Rosa High School have also set up funds as a emmroail to their loved ones and each year department charis select recipients to be honored. Academic enhancement programDuring the school year, the Foundation Board makes grants based on requests from the faculty, students and school organizations based on their needs. Grants have included textbooks, audio visual teaching aids, counseling conferences, sports uniforms, scientific instruments, computers and software, custodial equipment, arts and drama support, agricultural and auto shop equipment, athletic field improvements, un-funded transportation needs, dance and cheerleading support, faculty conferences, school beautification programs, and other programs too numerous to mention.
