Sarada Ramakrishna Vivekananda Associations carries out its mission of spiritual education via the following programs: Classes, retreats, childrens classes, prison ministry, maintaining centers of study and worship, publishing and dissemination of spiritual materials in print and on the internet.Centers of study, practice, and worship: Big Island, HI; Portland, OR; San Francisco, CA General schedule:At the SRV Oregon ashram, the local sangha maintains a weekly schedule as follows:Wednesday evenings: meditation and scripture classSaturday evening: worshipSpecial holy days were also observed.At SRV Hawaii, where Babaji resides, we met nearly every Sunday at our center in Waimea that Babaji was in Hawaii. Additionally, one or two lectures were delivered at the New Thought Center of Hawaii.In 2015, the Spiritual Director visited the Portland and San Francisco ashrams 4 times, each visit consisting of 4 - 5 weeks. During this time classes are held on both Saturday and Sunday, worship on Saturday nights, and vesper service followed by a question and answer class on some Fridays. In Oregon, Babaji gives classes also at 3 mens and a womens prison. In San Francisco, nearly all evenings have a vesper service followed by question and answer class. Individual instruction is also given during these visits. Annapurna Sarada also conducted several classes for adults and children during these visits. Retreats/Seminars:SRV Associations held 5 retreats and 2 Seminars in 2015:Internet teaching: SRV Vedanta Classes on YouTube and LivestreamDiscourses are available for free listening via iTunes and on the website of Advaita AcademyArticles available on www.srv.org and Advaita-Academy.org Prison Ministry:During Babajis visits to Oregon, he taught at the following prisons:TRCI in Umatilla, OSP in Salem, CCCF (womens), Wilsonville, DRCI, in Madras,At each facility Babaji gives classes from 1.5 - 3 hours and also meets privately with interested inmates.SRV Donates spiritual books, music, and discourses to inmates free of charge.Book & Magazine Publishing:Nectar magazine: Nectar of Non-Dual Truth, a journal of universal religious and philosophical teachings.Nectar consists of articles written by teachers and practitioners of the Worlds Religious Traditions, with emphasis on philosophy, methods, and universal teachings.Nectar is a free magazine of approximately 68 pages, published annually, and supported by readers and special donors. Publishing2 books were printed in 2015: The Wisdom Particle, & Manasana. E-Newsletter MundamalaPublished 4 times a year. Mundamala consists of sangha news, Spiritual Directors message, book reviews, biographies of the direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna, summaries of Babajis classes, childrens classes, prison ministry and other issues.
