Description
Sauvie Island Center educates learners of all ages about food, farming, and the land through hands-on educational programs such as summer camps, farm field trips, school visits, and community farm days. In 2020, SIC faced challenges due to in-person programming becoming non-viable after schools and businesses closed. Despite this, SIC held two weeks of farm camp for around 50 students following OHA guidelines where more than half of the participants received full scholarships. Farm camp sessions were offered on weekdays in July from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. SIC is located in Portland, OR.
