Education programsinsect discovery lab, nature class, nature connection: these programs involve dynamic traveling educational outreach efforts designed to inspire school-aged children about invertebrates and how to participate in the preservation of biological diversity through ecosystem protection. Our program provides for learning that is self-directed, life-long and motivated mainly by intrinsic interests, curiosity, exploration manipulation and social interaction. Fee donations support the care, feeding and maintenance of live invertebrates. . Nature academy: nature academy is a hands-on educational program made up of 4 lessons focusing on biodiversity, adaptations and survival. Each lesson utilizes live animals and project-based activities.
Biodiversity research.the organization participated in the California insect biodiversity project in cooperation with the California institute for biodiversity and the los angeles county natural history museum, collecting insect samples at five sites in southern California. Collected samples were analyzed in the organization's lab and inventoried for shipment to the university of guelph in canada, for dna analysis.
