Program areas at School Nutrition Foundation
Lead to succeed initiative addresses workforce development needs for School Nutrition professionals in the areas of personnel management and communication, and marketing and customer service. This program was made possible through a $2 million grant from the u.s. department of agriculture (usda) food & Nutrition service and developed with a team from georgetown university mcdonough School of business.
Professional growth and other scholarships:the School Nutrition Foundation provides scholarships for School Nutrition association (sna) members to pursue their education dreams and to attend sna conferences. Also, in partnership with winston foodservice snf offers an opportunity for one School district to receive an equipment grant for up to 10 pieces of kitchen equipment.
Invest in us:this endowed fund created in 1993 provides a reliable source of income to help fund special public education and awareness efforts targeting all those who influence the eating habits of children as well as the children themselves.
As School meal programs nationwide faced canceled orders, shortages of foods and supplies, and labor challenges, snf and no kid hungry teamed up to help School Nutrition professionals manage persistent supply chain disruptions: supply chain innovation project. This project provides School Nutrition professionals with resources to guide them through supply chain challenges.
