The mission and purpose of the School of Environmental Leadership SEL is to transform public education by building leaders for a just and sustainable world through an innovative model which is sustainability-focused equity forward and centered in rigorous interdisciplinary problem-based learning with community collaboration in the heart. We offer unparalleled learning opportunities where students create measurable change with increased ownership and independence over their education experience. A blend of academics leadership development public speaking creative arts technology engineering project management environmental justice and community service are all integrated to create a highly relevant and engaging educational experience. The Four C's define foundational areas of student development which also drive academic success and career readiness: Collaboration Communication Critical Thinking and Creativity.
