Legal Expenses Through efforts of the organization, the Kansas Legislature and Governor approved significant improvements in public school funding in prior years. The change was a direct result of the Kansas Supreme Court opinion issued in the Montoy case filed by the organization. Since that time the organization has continued to support legislation that benefits all public schools through lobbying and legal efforts, including the recent Gannon v. State of Kansas.
