The Maasai Stoves and Solar Project involves: An efficient and smoke eliminating cookstove installed by trained women in Maasai villages; Women organized to have community banks and start local businesses; Solar electric micro grids installed in Maasai settlements; Better cattle breeds bred locally for sale to Maasai herders for herd improvement; Cattle feedlot providing services to Maasai herders during drought caused grass shortages ; Better supplementary food for cattle produced from agricultural and industrial waste; A demonstration farm for climate change adaptation systems.
Assisting rural communitities in Malawi and especially the women of these communitities to use solar technology in their farming and other commercial activities.
