Program areas at Science From Scientists

In-school module-based stem education program: our signature program for 20 years. In the ay22-23, we served 12,500 students in grades 3-8 in 101 schools across our three regions: ma, mn, and ca. 75% of the students are bipoc, 62% are economically disadvantaged, and 32% are multilingual learners. Matched pair analysis has shown a 10% higher Science proficiency score than a comparison group of nonparticipating peers. In our may 2023 survey, teachers gave us a net promoter score of 82 (considered 'world class'), and 96% of teachers reported that their students had learning experiences that would not otherwise have been possible without Science From Scientists.
Specialty stem programs: fun Science and engineering experiences to win youth and families' hearts and minds to see stem more relatable and engaging than your standard Science textbook. *pro sports programs: connecting Science, sports, and senses through unique hands-on sports-themed Science experiences. Past events have occurred at red sox games at fenway park and the Minnesota twins target field. *Science theater: exciting stem demonstrations led by real Scientists and accompanying explanations of such experiments as elephant toothpaste, chemiluminescence, and a bed of nails. Past performances have occurred at patriot place, fenway park, joint base andrews, and epcot theme park at walt disney world resort. *unique partnerships: special collaborations between corporate and nonprofit partners to achieve stem education goals. Past collaborations include action-oriented education experiences with the world wildlife fund (wwf), as well as interactive Science exhibit ideation for the milken center for advancing the american dream (mcaad).
