Program areas at SCOPE Education Services
School age childcare- all Scope childcare programs are licensed by the new york state office of children and family Services and are operated in public schools on long island. Scope childcare programs provide a safe and caring environment for the children of working parents. A variety of age appropriate supervised activities, sports, arts and crafts, and enrichment opportunities are offered in addition to snacks, scheduled homework time and opportunities to socialize with peers. Pre-kindergarten-the pre-k programs provide eligible three and four year old children with various learning and discovery activities that build on children's natural curiosity. The program focuses on meeting the child's total developmental needs. Social, emotional, motor and cognitive growth are fostered through creative expression, arts and crafts, science, math, reading readiness, music, dance, large and small motor coordination and much more. The curriculum is aligned with the nys learning standards and is designed to transition students into kindergarten. Employee day care- all Scope employee day care programs are licensed by the new york state office of children and family Services and are operated in public schools on long island. Scope is committed to creating and maintaining a structured, caring setting where children can learn and develop at their own pace.
Other programs - various other Services are provided, including but not limited to:professional development courses for teachers and administrators and community service programs, such as workshops, for teachers, parents and students
Enrichment programs are collaboratively designed with school districts to provide a safe, fun, caring environment for students entering grades k-6. Examples of comprehensive program offerings include: foreign language, reading, math and science skills, arts and crafts, recreation, instrumental music and theme based enrichment activities. Also offered are student prep programs. Programs can be offered after school, on weekends, or during the summer at sites determined by the school districts.
