Program areas at Sea Hugger

Educate the public about the dangers of microplastic and show them how to reduce their public waste through hosting community beach cleanups. Program achievements for 2022: 1. Added one more videos to our camp Sea Hugger virtual field trip video series. 2. Tabled at nine events. 3. Spoke at seven schools. 4. Hosted six field trips with bay area schools. 5. Hosted eight private beach cleanups with business. 6. Financially supported litter4tokens, a south african ngo, that employs locals to clean the beaches in exchange for food, clothing, and household necessities. 7. Financially supported trash4tokens in mexico that has the same mission as litter4tokens. 8. Advocated for twelve federal and state conservation laws and ordinances. 9. Participated in a coalition to protect 30% of our worlds oceans by 2030. 10. Participated in a coalition to create a global plastics treaty. 11. Participated in four other global plastic reduction coalitions.
