Program areas at SCMS

Seattle Chamber Music Society presented 45 internationally renowned musicians in during the 2023 Summer Festival. The concerts were presented to an in-person audience in Benaroya Hall and a virtual audience in the SCMS Virtual Concert Hall. There were 12 ticketed concerts and 12 pre-concert recitals and a jazz night. The festival also presented many free outdoor concerts in Seattle area parks, 17 aboard The Concert Truck in Seattle-area parks and community spaces, 3 large-scale concerts in major parks in Seattle and Bellevue, and several other events. 4,443 people attended the 13 ticketed concerts in-person, with an additional 9,300 attendees via the Virtual Concert Hall.
Seattle Chamber Music Society presented The Concert Truck in 17 free concerts throughout the Seattle and Bellevue communities. The Concert Truck is a mobile concert hall, complete with lights, sound, stage, piano, curtain and more, and designed to bring music outside of the concert hall and into the community. The truck visited Seattle Chamber Music Society and performed chamber music masterpieces with SCMS artists.
Seattle Chamber Music Society presented 21 internationally renowned musicians in during the 2023 Winter Festival. The concerts were presented to an in-person audience in Benaroya Hall and a virtual audience in the SCMS Virtual Concert Hall. There were 6 ticketed concerts and 6 pre-concert recitals, 6 open rehearsals, multiple lectures and an Azure concert. 2,178 people attended the 13 ticketed concerts in-person, with an additional 6,900, attendees via the Virtual Concert Hall.
Program Service 4:Seattle Chamber Music Society introduced year-round programming at the Center for Chamber Music in 2022. This is a new project for SCMS and one that brought 21 musicians and 22 concerts to the Center and community spaces. Each residency includes multiple concerts in the Center for Chamber Music, concerts with area nonprofit partners, and 10 free concerts for the community. 1,219 people attended the ticketed live events and an additional 215 attended virtually.
Program Service 5: Seattle Chamber Music Society debuted its new Academy for Chamber Music in 2022. The Academy offers high level training platforms for young musicians in the Seattle and surrounding areas. There were 40 students enrolled in the program.
