Program areas at Seattle CityClub

Washington State Debate Coalition: For the first time, debates for Seattle City Council were convened in their respective districts. This resulted in having hundreds of residents, who normally couldnt attend the debates being held in one centralized location, to be active participants. We held 4 debates by district. For the first time, we partnered with minority-owned/led media outlets. Due to these results, Seattle CityClub was asked to convene a public forum the following January for the Seattle City Council appointment. Civic Cocktail: Moved our programming to an ADA-accessible, transit-accessible centralized location. Our monthly attendance doubled from the year prior. More members of marginalized communities regularly attended. Broadened the voices on various panels to include more speakers from neighboring counties. Civic Field Trip: Delivered three-transit themed field trips: One in North Seattle. One in South Seattle. One Virtual.
