Fund equipment to improve both officer safety and public safety. Provided continued funding for medical supplies and equipment for the spd emt unit, purchased new k9s and k9 safety equipment. Purchased harbor unit fire and rescue safety supplies and provided funds for boat repair. Purchased new equipment to assist detectives investigate crime scenes efficiently and effectively.
Fund projects that helped spd strengthen officer wellness and morale and provide additional employee development/training opportunities to enhance policing skills. Partnered with local community members and businesses to create donation opportunities for officer overtime meals, ppe supplies and other care items to improve officer morale and safety as they worked overtime in resource poor environments. Sponsored and produced the 2023 Seattle Police awards ceremony. Fiscal sponsor for the 2023 nw icac regional conference.
Fund projects that helped spd strengthen community partnerships. Provided funding for safe place and crime prevention education materials that allow these programs to reach diverse audiences. Provided ongoing support for victim support programs and services and community and youth outreach programs that build relationships between spd and the community the agency serves to enhance public safety.
