Program areas at Second District - Omega Psi Phi Fraternity
Awarded 25 scholarships ranging from $1,000 up to $3,500 to high school and college students who distinguished themselves as leaders of today and were excelling to be leaders of tomorrow. The award is a yearly program conducted across to the Second District in the states of NY, NJ, PA, DE and MD. total scholarships and awards totaled $39,585.35
The social action program provides support to programs within the human services arena that provide counseling, aid, support and conduct awareness efforts in socially deprived neighborhoods and communities.
An annual Talent Hunt Program is facilitated to showcase the talents and skills of the American youth in high school. The goal of the program is to discover and provide assistance to young people who possess talents of outstanding and exceptional quality in the performing arts. Total amount awarded $13,209
The Achievement Week is observed each November and is designed to recognize those individuals at the local and international levels who have contributed to community uplift. A High School Essay Contest is to be held in conjunction with Achievement Week. Awards given in the amount of $4,695.84
