Program areas at Secular Communities for Arizona

Since 2010, Secular az has protected the separation of church and state, educating lawmakers and the public to ensure freedom of conscience for arizonans of all faiths and of none. Secular az represents a coalition of liaised organizations and an ever-growing group of individual members who wish to keep government and politics separate, as is required by both the u.s. constitution bill of rights, first amendment and the Arizona state constitution article ii, section 12. We work at the state and local levels to increase knowledge of Secular issues and affect changes in laws, regulations, ordinances, policies, through legal channels and in the courts of public opinion. With your support, we bring together political advocacy, civic engagement, and public education to advance equality, inclusion, fairness, and science-based policy.we tackle issues like education, discrimination, health, tax policy, and religious expression... because congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of a religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...
