Program areas at Self-Help Homes
Accomplishments from Self-Help Homes include the following programs and activities: mutual Self-Help Housing, land acquisition, land Development, raising capital, homebuyer financial funding and counseling, and contract management. Self-Help Homes (shh) assisted 18 low and very-low income families start to build their own Homes through the mutual Self-Help Housing program. At september 30 2023, shh had started and/or completed 619 Self-Help single family Homes. In addition, shh assisted in providing 40 families with secondary construction and/or permanent mortgages/grant financing to help them both purchase and construct their Homes. Shh developed 68 lots in two of its service areas in wasatch and Washington counties. Thirteen (13) Homes were also finished in wastach and Utah counties included in the total numbers listed above.
