Seminole County Farm Bureau protects the economic well-being of agricultural producers and improves the quality of life in Seminole County. It builds coalitions with other agricultural organizations, including Seminole Cattlemen and the citrus industry, through years of hard work. The coalition includes IFAS and Sem. Ag Literacy Day is an important outreach event where elementary school students learn about different commodities each year, and local students visit the ranch to learn about the cattle industry through hands-on experiences.

Program areas at Seminole County Farm Bureau

Seminole County Farm Bureau constantly works to build coalitions with other agricultural organizations. Many years of hard work have provided many valuable relationships including Seminole Cattlemen, and the citrus industry. The coalition with IFAS and Seminole Cattlemen give us the opportunity to hold the Spring Ranch Forum. This forum provides a place for ranchers and farmers to receive up-to date information about the ranch industry from some of the most knowledgeable scientists and researchers in the business. Farm Bureau is a major contributing sponsor, and uses this time to reach out to potential members and the leadership from other organizations present. This function helps advance our mission.
Ag Literacy Day is an important outreach event where elementary school students learn about different commodities each year. Students from a local school were able to come out to that ranch and learn about the cattle industry with hands-on experiences.
Seminole County Farm Bureau hosted a youth speech contest. This contest allows students to develop research and presentation skills while gaining an appreciation for the industry.
