Semper Fi Community Task Force lends support in meeting existing and emerging needs of the Tennessee Valley community, honors and supports military veterans of all services and their families through volunteering time and talent. The organization holds events to honor these individuals and their families. Semper Fi Community Task Force offers a range of program services including heroes week, outdoor adventures, veterans outreach, youth engagement, Semper Fi racing, gold star fishing, and community outreach.

Program areas at Semper Fi Community Task Force

Outdoor adventures: provided a fishing trip for veterans in june 2023 to be a platform for comraderie, safety, healing and fellowship during this 4 day fishing trip. Most importantly a platform was created where veterans could share their own stories and receive some well deserved comfort from other veterans.
Heroes week 2023 provided 10 heroes and their families an opportunity to have a fellowship like none other. Each hero received a special homemade quilt. Flags were flown over the capitol in their honor and given gift bags by local vendors throughout the city. They were escorted to lake guntersville, to the us space and rocket center, to the veterans day parade and marine corps birthday ball. They received police escorts and were made to feel as important and needed as possible during this special week put on by Semper Fi Community Task Force in november 2023.
Youth engagement: three female students from the junior reserve officer training corps class at brewer high school in somerville, Alabama, located in morgan county, were awarded the bob marshall excellence in volunteerism scholarship of $1,000 each to continue their higher education in the calendar year 2023. $2,942 was contributed in 2023 towards the maintenance of the matt dahl memorial ball field to ensure that the 725 children attending legacy elementary school had a safe and enjoyable area to exericse and play in.
Veterans outreach: veterans outreach program helped several well-vetted veterans in 2023. Veterans who ended up in financial situations that put themselves and their families at risk. Semper Fi ctf was able to step in and pay utility bills, rent deposits, and rent for these well deserving veterans. In some cases the veterans were in jeopardy of losing housing for themselves and their families.
Semper Fi racing: the Semper Fi racing team was established in 2016 and in 2023 to provide children of gold star families, wounded/injured veterans, and disabled first responders the opportunity to participate in the sport of quarter midget racing.
General Community outreach including annual donor dinner.
