EMERGENCY SERVICES Single Adult Shelter this is an enhanced 24/7 congregate shelter offering services beyond just bed nights. Clients utilizing shelter also receive access to meals, shower and hygiene supplies, on site service providers from other agencies such as mental health and medical, and Housing Resource Center (HRC) referrals for housing search or placement. Family Shelter offers temporary short term 45-day program with intense case management to assist families in finding permanent housing solutions. 2 units with secure bedrooms and common areas to accommodate up to 4 small households at a time. HRC locations in Port Angeles, Sequim, and Forks WA. These locations work with clients on diversion to support services, rental assistance and referrals to other agency service providers and housing programs. 2 Permanent Supportive Housing sites for Chronically Homeless people with a documented disability. Requires a referral from HRC. One site with 28 units, another site with 16 units and small 2 bedroom house. Other Permanent Supportive Housing for literally homeless families with a dependent minor in the household. Requires a referral from HRC. The site has 14 units and laundry access. Transitional housing referrals for small low income families. This is a clean and sober program with case management for up to 2 years. Housing requires a referral from HRC and rental company approval prior to placement.
STABILIZATION SERVICES - Housing Resource Center offers referrals to housing providers, subsidy assistance as eligible, assistance obtaining required documentation for housing applications, and case management. Youth and Young Adult Coordinated Entry and Services offer supportive services, referrals to other agency services providers, as well as rental assistance as eligible. Youth and young adults up to 24 years of age are eligible. Permanent Supportive Housing and Other Permanent Supportive Housing offers on site case management with housing stability support. Case managers work with tenants on housing stability and assist with referrals to other agency service providers for medical, mental health, and other needs in order to retain housing. Funding through the Washington State Department of Commerce and Washington State Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Kitsap HARPS allow Serenity House to support clients with obtaining required documentation for competing housing applications, application fee assistance, and some rental assistance subsidies depending on client eligibility. These funds also assist with the costs of operations for the programs.
