Program areas at Serenity Mesa Recovery Center
Serenity Mesa Recovery Center is a transitional living facility located in Albuquerque, NM. It serves adolescents and young adults ages 14-21 who are struggling with addiction issues. Serenity Mesa provides long-term care that includes sober living coupled with individual, group and family counseling, high school education, life skills, health and wellness and job trade skills. Serenity Mesa also provides wrap around services and a full continuum of care that addresses all needs for someone dealing with addiction. The Center opened in May 2015.
Housing - Serenity Mesa provides rental assistance and rapid rehousing using the Housing First approach for people ages 17 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness or are precariously housed. This program began in April of 2021. In November of 2022 Serenity Mesa purchased additional property to provide additional space for the housing program. This includes 4,812 square feet that was put into service in April, 2023 with an additional 2,698 that will be placed into service in the future.
Awareness and Education - gave over 30 presentations throughout NM, reaching over 10,000 people. HAC was the fiscal agent for The Albuquerque Celebrates Recovery event. It is estimated that over 1,500 people attended, numerous agencies participated, including the City of Albuquerque.
