Program areas at Servants To Asia S Urban Poor
Continued operation of multiple projects in Kolkata and Delhi India. Recruited, trained and sent out new and replacement workers. This team is currently comprised of 6 team members. Replaced cooking on an open fire with enclosed stove-tops that use clean fuel, cost less, reduce the risk of burn and lung damage in many neighborhoods.
Support of other Servants teams in Cambodia, Burma and other locations in SE Asia. Provided educational and after school programs for children in the slums, and provide occupational training to older children to provide potential live long skills.
Continued to maintain a team of workers for outreach in the slums of Jakarta, Indonesia. Aided many refugees who were evicted from long time living locations. Many living in the slums have contracted TB, so provided improved access to medical care , treatment and diagnosis.
Recruiting and training of new workers at the Servants sending office in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and operation of the North American sending office in Friendswood, TX.
