Service Employees International Union - 535 Seiu

Local 535's purpose is to improve wages, benefits, and working conditions through collective bargaining for its members. In 2006, members of Local 535, along with other Seiu locals voted to merge and restructure operations. This resulted in the formation of new locals and realigning members to existing Seiu locals. The process began in 2007 and as of 12/31/23, is still ongoing. Employers have been instructed to recognize their new Seiu unions; this transfer of representation is still progressing toward completion.
