In order to ensure affordability, the property must meet the affordability requirements as provided in 24 CFR 92.252. Affordable Housing shall mean as follows: Affordable to persons or families earning eighty (80%) percent or less of average median income for Pompano Beach as determined by HUD and who will be required to pay no more than thirty (30%) percent of their income for housing costs. It is further stipulated that the subject property must remain affordable, according to this definition, for any subsequent buyer for a term of at least twenty (20) years after the date of initial purchase.
