Program areas at Shareable
2023 program accomplishments include:* SolidarityWorks: Training and support program for organizers of new social infrastructure projects. Launched new program with 65 national participants in our inaugural Emergency Battery Network Co-Lab, resulting in the initiation of 15 new neighborhood-scale networks. * Rural Power Coalition (RPC): Multistakeholder coalition advocating for democratic and sustainable transition to clean power in rural communities. As a strategic partner, we helped design the implementation/distribution guidelines for over $10B for Rural Electric Co-ops in the Inflation Reduction Act, the most significant investment for rural electrification in the US since the 1930s! Shareable led communications for RPC.* Cities@Tufts: Lecture series uplifting diverse perspectives in urban planning. We co-hosted 12 Cities@Tufts virtual lectures with Tufts University this year. To date, Shareable has reached 40K readers and viewers of Cities@Tufts by turning lectures into publicly available podcasts, videos, transcripts, and more.* The Response podcast: Podcast highlighting stories of community resilience. We produced 24 new interview episodes. Two episodes aired on over 150 radio stations, reaching ~100,000 listeners each through our partnership with Making Contact.* Editorial: Solutions-based journalism highlighting community groups around the world. Editorial content on Shareable.net attracts ~30,000 visits/month (more than 15M lifetime page views). This year, we produced over 50 solutions-based articles.
