In 2023, Shared Ascent Fund (saf) supported efforts to maintain and strengthen voting rights; strengthen health care policies and access for all; and counter systemic racism in america. In addition to grantmaking, saf serves as fiscal sponsor--providing administrative (human resources, legal, financial, technology) services--of the student borrower protection center, which has been successfully leading a nationwide effort to protect student loan borrowers and halt widespread abuses by the student loan industry, and to the coalition to expand contraceptive access, which works to expand contraceptive access by leveraging policy and research to advance sexual and reproductive health equity and reproductive quality of life for all individuals.
