Sharon Teachers Association Incorporated

The Association represents its members, including roughly 350 full-time teachers, by collecting bi-weekly dues from November through June, mainly through payroll deductions. Membership also includes half-time teachers and instructional aides. Membership dues in turn are paid out to the Massachusetts Teacher Association (The MTA). The MTA assists the association in protecting its members rights, through collective bargaining and arbitration negotiations, which the association alone could not financially accomplish. Members partake of Annual Conferences and meet regularly to discuss professional matters.
