Program areas at Shepherds Hope

Shepherd's Hope food pantry provides free client choice groceries including meat fresh produce and dairy canned and frozen foods to people of the greater Englewood area and surrounding communities in Chicago. We have increased from 5,000 to 7,000 people per week including many new clients from the migrant community. The pantry is open 3 days per week.
Shepherd's Hope owns and operates a 50,000 sf former Chicago Public School building. In addition to the pantry and soup kitchen the building houses our 18 partners who provide a wide range of holistic services for our clients medical after school violence prevention & intervention counseling and sports activities etc. These expenses cover the staff maintenance utilities necessary for the services to be provided.
Shepherd's Hope Family Feeding Center soup kitchen has also expanded services. Hot nutritious meals are offer for dine-in or take-out 5 days per week. The Feeding Center has increased to over 7,000 meals per month.
