Program areas at Shine & Merge

United States: Shines efforts to mobilize followers of Jesus for evangelism involved ministry to churches and congregations as well as to communities around the State of Minnesota and beyond. Shine lead evangelist Dr. Sammy Wanyonyi frequently spoke to multiple congregations during Sunday services. We also hosted evangelism training and hosted citywide worship nights in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Estimated number of people impacted: 15,000 Mozambique: Shine conducted a major evangelism and mobilization campaign in the country of Mozambique, giving training to pastors and evangelists in the city of Nampula. Through the Shine Nampula initiative, the following results were achieved:Trained 2000+ pastoral and evangelistic leaders through multiple conferences and seminars. Reached 800,000+ people in person with the Good News of Jesus Christ all across Nampula Province during the week of the Mission. 97,667 people documented their decision to follow Jesus. Reached 10M+ people through multi-media broadcasts all across the nation of Mozambique. Multiple churches were planted as a result of the mission. Kenya: Shine maintained a strategic office in Nairobi, Kenya, for regional engagement with churches across East Africa and the Middle East. Through the regional office, Shine continued to resource churches in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Iraq, Uganda, Nigeria, Iraq, Pakistan, and other places on a need-by-need basis. Middle East: Shine partnered with Erbil Alliance Church in Northern Iraq to host a weekend revival conference in June, which 1,000 people attended. The conference strengthened believers in their faith and mobilized them for evangelism through teachings provided by the Shine team. Multi-Media: Shines lead evangelist, Dr. Sammy Wanyonyi, provided devotionals to Daily Bible subscribers around the world that reached over 18 million listeners. Through this partnership with You Version Bible App, which has nearly a billion subscribers, Shine was able to extend the impact of its mission to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all peoples all over the world. Shines social media handles were equally busy sharing and extending our messaging to hundreds of thousands of people throughout the year 2023.
