Program areas at Shrm-Li
The Shrm-Li conference is held once a year to provide educational workshops on related Human resources topics where hr professionals can receive continuing education credits. The conference also provides meetings for sponsors with hr professionals to educate them on services related to payroll, benefits, training, and development, hris software, etc. That will advance their hr expertise. Over 350 hr professionals attended the annual conference in 2023.
The Shrm-Li chapter holds monthly meetings to provide educational seminars on related Human resources topics where hr professionals can receive continuing education credits. Approximately 50 hr professionals attended each month during 2023.
The shrm-li/ jackson lewis breakfast series is offered once a month from september to july. Shrm-Li partners with jackson lewis p.c. To provide workshops related to labor law, so that hr professionals are kept up to date on Human Resource requirements. Over 1,200 hr professionals attended the shrm-li/jackson lewis breakfast series in 2023.
To discuss problems or topics of mutual interest and or to have a speaker discuss a particular area of Human Resource or industrial relations. To establish and maintain a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences among individuals whoare responsible for the Human Resource function in their respective companies and industries. To promote fair and amicable employer/employee relations by providing a source of informationto the business community for the exchange ofsalary and fringe benefit data. To encourage individual or group research in any applicable specialized area. To advise members of new federal and state laws. To act as a liason agency
