Program areas at STAHS

After reaching the campaign goal of raising $2.5 million to assist building ghii dee-ne dvn, a place for the people cultural center and museum in 2022. Siletz Tribal Arts and Heritage held a ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony on march 11, 2023. The ceremony celebrated the many Oregon representatives, lincoln county commissioners, foundations, tribes, organizations, volunteers, and individual donors that contributed to the successful campaign. During august 2023 the architectural and engineering phase of ghii dee-ne dvn began with an estimated opening date of fall 2025.
Siletz Tribal Arts and Heritage held the 2nd annual honoring the past, building the future gala on october 21, 2023 in the ballroom of chinook's seafood grill. The gala was attended by 120 guests and raised $15,000 for the dave hatch endowment, which helps support the operations of the ghii dee-ne dvn, a place for the people cultural center and museum. Ghii dee-ne dvn is under construction now with an expected opening date of fall 2025.
Fall of 2023, Siletz Tribal Arts was awarded with a $100,000 operating grant from spirit mountain community fund. The grant allowed Siletz Tribal Arts & Heritage to obtain a Society development director with the goal of organizing the annual david hatch memorial fundraiser and starting the process of seeing the vision of ghii dee-ne dvn, a place for the people come to fruition. The Society development director also increased funding and donor engagement for Siletz Tribal Arts and Heritage Society.
